Behind the Scenes Appleton Boudoir
If you’ve had your photos done by JLReis Photography, you’ve met Prudence and I and you know that if nothing else, we are batshit crazy in the most loving and hysterical kind of way.
One of the biggest things we hear from our girlies is that they don’t know what to expect when they come for a session. It’s simple really, you walk in and we smother you in love and laughter. We go through your wardrobe and all of the panties you bought special from Vickie’s, we pick out shoes and jewelry from the Boudie Closet. Then we lay out your outfits in order and plop your ass in the makeup chair .
Once we have you where we want you, we start telling you jokes and stories and Pru proceeds to make you camera ready. She doesn’t make you “beautiful”. You’re already beautiful. Prudence accentuates your eyes and your lips and does your hair so it frames your gorgeous face.
While you’re in the chair we talk about anything and everything – just normal girlie stuff that ALL women talk about. I might take some photos of you in the chair to share with group (you’re in group, right? If not, get OVER there and join!!!)
We know what’s going through your mind while you’re sitting there in Pru’s chair: “I have NO IDEA how to look sexy in front of a camera”. We got you, boo! Prudence, our in-house “Instigator of Underwear”, will get right down on the floor – because I’m old as dirt and if I get down, I may not get up – and show you every pose. We touch you inappropriately to get just the right turn in your ankle and pop in your booty. And like my mama always said: “If it don’t hurt, you ain’t doing it right.”
When we book, we always tell clients to stretch in the days before their session. We aren’t kidding, posing is hard work and you’re gonna feel your session the day after!
Some of the poses and facial expressions will feel awkward and sometimes right down stupid, but trust us, we know what we’re doing and everything we tell you to do is to make your photos look amazing.
When we’re done, we peel you out of your panties bundle you back into your sweats and walk you out to your vehicle. Later that day I go through your photos and choose the best of the best and pick one for a sneakie-peek.
Pru and I enjoy your session as much, if not more than you do. We LOVE making you laugh and we love helping you see that you really are gorgeous. I have spent so much of my life building women up, being able to actually SHOW them is amazing and blows me away every time.
